Numbers and Their Meanings

Numbers can be very significant in many things, from horoscopes to numerology to tarot to just reading signs. It is important to know so you can read yourself better and possibly read the future better. So here are some basic meanings to numbers (remember, they are subject to change when you interpret it and depends on your situation and sometimes religion):

Zero- Zero is very significant. It represents profound changes, as well as nothingness and ideas contained.

One - New beginnings. If the number one becomes prominent in your life is means you are about to embark on something new.

Two- Two is a sign of duality. It could mean you need to learn to be patient. It could also symbolize a relationship with someone.

Three- Three is actually a creative number. It has to do with broadening horizons and moving past boundries. Too much influence under this number can lead people to be un-realistic.

Four- Four symbolizes a center (4 directions, 4 elements, 4 seasons etc.). It implies stability, hard work and practicality.

Five - Five is associated with communication, restlessness and intelect. The number 5 is very lively and encourages the search for new experiances.

Six- Six relates to family issues and issues within the home. It stands for caring and helps bring harmony into difficult situations.

Seven- The number 7 has always been considered lucky. It encourages deep thought and gives moments of clarity.

Eight- Symbolizes materialism. People affected by the number eight might have an inclination to be stubborn and singleminded.

Nine- Gives people a sense of humanitarionism, gives people the urge to explore and experiment with life.

The numbers usually go from one to nine because many cultures do not recognize zero. Because zero is rarely recognized, the number 10 is actually read the same as number one. If you get a two digit number you must add the two digits to get one. For example, if you get/see the number 24 often and want to know what it means, add 2+4, which equals 6. Now look up the meaning to the number 6.
